Orthodontics
How does orthodontic treatment work?
The first consultation consists of making documentation with photos, x-rays, 3D prints that allow us to study dyspraxia, dental and skeletal malpositions, create a treatment plan and a quote adapted to each patient.
Once the orthodontic appliance is in the mouth, we will set appointments according to the appliance and the technique performed.
Each orthodontic control session is adapted according to the patient’s needs with monitoring of oral hygiene and advice for cleaning teeth.
Orthodontic treatments
- Interceptive orthodontics (resin plate, breaker, PUL, ELN)
- Fixed orthodontics (metal/ceramic brackets)
- Invisalign aligners/aligners
- Surgical cases
- Adult orthodontics
The benefits of early orthodontic treatment
- Detects jaw growth disorders (mandible and maxilla).
- Intercept a large number of disharmonies that would require much more significant therapy later (delayed management).
- Improve chewing, breathing, speech, digestion, sleep and postural balance.
- Dental alignment performed most quickly.
At what age do we recommend having a first consultation?
We generally recommend having the first orthodontic exam around age 7 (although some malocclusions would be better caught even earlier, around age 4-5).
Invisalign aligners
The invisible aligners “Invisalign” are developed by Align Technology. The principle of these devices is to move your teeth in small movements. These invisible aligners are transparent and removable, they allow the practitioner to have a diagnosis as well as a precise prescription, computerized using graphics. This also allows the practitioner to develop a treatment plan that allows to establish a simulation of the desired movements of your teeth during the treatment.
Once the treatment plan is finalized by the practitioner and the latter has been accepted by the patient, a series of invisible aligners is manufactured specifically for the patient’s treatment.
